Porsche has expanded its Paint to Sample (PTS) palette, introducing 11 new colors with the latest 992.2 generation of the 911. These new options are also available for the 718 and Taycan models, enhancing the customization choices for Porsche enthusiasts.

Highlights of the New Paint Colors
Among the standout additions are “Sean Peach” (22I) and “Nashy Blue” (5NY), both developed in collaboration with renowned American designer Sean Wotherspoon. “Sean Peach” stems from Wotherspoon’s previous project with Porsche, which featured four unique colors. “Nashy Blue,” a solid medium blue, is named after Wotherspoon’s son, Nash.
In an interview with Hypebeast, Wotherspoon explained, “I began working with Porsche about three years ago. When we launched the SW Taycan Art Car, Porsche gave me the opportunity to develop my own colors. I named them after myself, my wife, and our kids.” Now, two of these colors are official PTS options on Porsche’s configurator. Wotherspoon added, “It’s incredibly meaningful to me, both as a car enthusiast and a father, to see my son’s name associated with Porsche. It’s thrilling to imagine Nash attending a car show and seeing a ‘Nashy Blue’ 911. I hope he finds it as cool as I do.”
New Green Shades and Additional Colors
The new lineup also includes “Eberlegreen” (6JE) and “Audrain Green Metallic” (6RY), adding unique green shades to Porsche’s palette. “Audrain Green Metallic” honors a color commissioned by the Audrain Auto Museum for their 911 (992.1) GT3, inspired by the classic 356 color Lago Green Metallic.
Additional colors in the new PTS palette are:

- “Verde Zeltweg Metallic” (6VZ), a dark green originally from Ferrari
- “Frozen Berry Metallic” (Y08), a metallic rose color
- “Centenaire Silver Metallic” (7SD)
- “Dolomite Silver Metallic” (Z96)
- “Arctic Grey” (Z93)
- “Guards Red” (Y39)
- The return of “GTS Red” (M3E), the launch color of the Cayenne GTS
Insight from Porsche PTS Expert Will Lee
To understand the significance of the PTS program and the new colors, we spoke with Porsche PTS expert Will Lee, also known as PTSRS. Lee explained that the PTS program offers over 160 pre-approved colors, 127 of which are for the 911. The PTS Plus program, however, allows customers to create or sample their unique colors.
Lee highlighted the differences between the two programs, noting that the PTS program has a shorter lead time, while the PTS Plus program requires a longer timeframe due to feasibility tests. These tests ensure the finishes are consistent across various body panel materials such as carbon fiber, aluminum, and plastic, which can take up to a year or more. Lee also mentioned that the PTS Plus program is more expensive, with finishes for a 2025 911 via PTS costing $14,000 USD, compared to over $30,000 USD for PTS Plus.
The Unprecedented Collaboration with Sean Wotherspoon
Regarding Wotherspoon’s unique collaboration with Porsche, Lee remarked, “Creating one color through PTS Plus is already a significant achievement, given Porsche’s limited annual capacity. For Porsche to collaborate with one individual on four colors simultaneously, all intended for production, is unprecedented. It’s a testament to the respect and trust they have in Sean’s influence and taste.”
Lee’s Dream PTS Color
When asked about his dream PTS color, Lee shared that he envisions a deep metallic candy red, similar to Mazda’s Soul Red Crystal. He noted that red is underrepresented in the PTS palette, with only three of the 127 colors for the 2025 911 being shades of red: GTS Red, Peru Red, and Superior Red Metallic.
“The limited options are likely due to Porsche offering two reds in the 911’s standard palette: Guards Red and Carmine Red, both non-metallic. Past metallic reds such as Amaranth Red Metallic, Arena Red Metallic, Carmona Red Metallic, and Ruby Red Metallic, while excellent, all have varying undertones. What’s missing is a true metallic red with depth and vibrancy. Considering red’s iconic status for Porsche, I think it’s time for a new one.” If Lee were to create his true red metallic PTS color, he would name it either “Passion Red” or “Obsession Red.”
Limited Production and Ordering Information

It’s important to note that while more color choices add complexity for the Porsche factory, not all options are immediately available. According to Lee, Porsche currently produces only 20 PTS-finished cars daily for the 911, with colors subject to allocation and not guaranteed.
